One of the best tents to use in the BWCA or anywhere for that matter is the Eureka Timberline 4XT tent. It is a classic A frame tent that is easy to set up and great for wilderness camping. This tent is ideal for two adults giving you plenty of room to sleep, to play cards, or to just hang out when it’s raining outside. Three adults could squeeze in there, but there is NO WAY four adults could sleep in this tent. The added vestibule is great because if you have extra gear you can place it under the vestibule and it will be protected from the elements. The tent has two doors with windows in each and a high/low vent in the vestibule door to give it great ventilation features. There are also two storage pockets on the side of the tent and two gear loft loops. Overall, this is a great tent that is easy to use and is very comfortable.

• Pack size could be a little too much for some people especially for the hikers out there. Great for the canoe camper though.

• Footprint doesn’t come with the tent.

• Footprint that can be purchased is just a plastic sheet.

I highly recommend this tent for canoe camping and car camping.
