Austin Texas is hosting the second annual Hobie Fishing World Championships. 42 anglers from 13 countries will head out onto Lake Bastrop and Fayette County Reservoir to chase Freshwater Bass. Each participant will be using identical equipment; a Hobie Mirage Pro Angler 12 kayak with Lowrance Electronics and Ram Mounting Systems.
It's a Catch-Photograph-Release tournament with each angler turning in their 3 best fish each day. The winner is the fisher-person with the best 3 day aggregate.
The United States team includes the following list of thirteen elite anglers from nine different states:
