When looking for a trail worthy pocket knife, I have a long list of features that make a great knife. It is nearly impossible to get them all into one package, but you pick and choose as best you can. Size, durability and ease of use are at the top of the list for me. I like a folding knife with a partially serrated edge, usually about 3 inches long. Beyond that; weight, edge holding ability, and one-handed opening all come in as important factors as well.

I have abused the snot out of this knife and it keeps coming back for more. I can bring the edge back to razor sharp with my pocket sharpener in about 2 minutes, but it needs regular sharpening. Not the hardest blade steel I have seen, but that in itself isn't necessarily a bad thing. It provides a bit of forgiveness when "over extending" the knife's capabilities I'd rather have to bend a tip back straight than have it snap clean off. Keeping an edge a bit longer in the back-country would be nice, but like I said it sharpens up with little effort.
All in all, I am a fan. And for the money, what more do you really want? You can easily spend 3 times this for comparable blades and you can get a case of these for what you will spend on a custom bush-craft knife. It all boils down to bang for the buck, and the Remix goes BOOM!
